Wawi resistivity counter

Functional sequence

  • The FLS is equipped with sensors for fish detection (contact resistance measurement).
  • If a fish (several individuals or a school) swims through the structure, this is perceived as ascending or descending, depending on the direction of movement.
  • As soon as a fish (several individuals or a school) swims through the structure, the ascent of the FLS is initiated.
  • The number of strokes can be reduced by up to 50%.
  • The data is recorded using our own software and can be read out digitally -> can also be used as a monitoring system. The data acquisition can be combined with the FLS control device.
  • The system can be equipped with one or more cameras, meaning no additional monitoring system is necessary.

Advantages of the system

  • Location-adapted sizing
  • Reduction in the number of strokes
  • Combination with all FLS types possible
  • Low maintenance
  • Data can be viewed/read out online (monitoring possible)
  • No risk of injury to organisms

Goals

  • Complements classic monitoring
  • Permanent recording of fish movements
  • Fish trap replacement
  • Comprehensive data
  • System protection and optimization of the FLS
